Amelia Raley opened Sweet Ritual in December 2011. They started with Amelia's vegan soft serve recipe, and as demand grew, she developed her own hard-pack recipe. In 2014 she attended Ice Cream University's 3-day non-dairy course with Malcolm Stoge, the "godfather of ice cream." Combining that knowledge, their own recipes, and ongoing experimentation with resources from the best ice cream makers around the world, she had developed some of the best and most original non-dairy ice cream available. Sweet Ritual has been open nearly seven years and grew from just over $100,000 in sales in their first full year to $720,000 in 2017. The business employs 11 people in addition to the owner and served over 70,000 people ice cream last year.
